OUR MISSION
To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ all over the world and build churches that are at least 1 percent of the local population.
Our Mission Statement
We bring people to light and freedom in Jesus Christ and raise godly and prosperous families.
“I will be their God and they shall be my people.” – Hebrews 8:10b
We are a non-denominational church with a strong emphasis on the Word and the love of God. Without a vision the people perish. God’s vision here at The New Covenant Church – Strood Rochester is to:
• Build a family and once the family is strong, extend the family.
• Love by covering children, as well as parents.
• Honour and respect the Word and the will of God.
• Cover ministers, as well as ministries.
Our number one goal is to be strong in God, strong in prayer, strong in the Word of God, and strong in expressions of love, one to another. And we are going to accomplish this by ministering unto the Lord through song, dance, the arts, praise, worship in the beauty of holiness, loving each other, and giving all we have (our time, talents, treasures) to Jesus. So we evangelize, set up home bible fellowships, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and restore the broken-hearted back to the Lord and in the fellowship of His work in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen!
Vision Statement
We raise people to maturity in Christ and build godly, happy and prosperous families in our vibrant town and city churches. We help people discover their unique design and equip them in the spirit of excellence to serve effectively within the church and become instruments of change in society, bringing the love of God into our communities and cities and playing a positive role in the life of the nation and globally.
Our Passion
• Helping people discover their purpose in life
• Empowering people to excel in their service and career
• Raising leaders in all spheres of life
• Rediscovering the joy of family life
Statement of Faith
• We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments (The Bible) as inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme, infallible and final authority in faith and life.
• We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his personal return in power and glory.
• We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
• We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
• We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man.
• We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed.
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
• We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, and His ascension into Heaven, and His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
• We believe in the fact that there will be a personal return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
• We believe that all those who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
• We believe that those who have been born again have everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but are passed from death unto life; and that the Lord Jesus Christ gives unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of God's hand.
• We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
• We believe that God loves YOU unconditionally.
3 Modes of Operation
The operational structure of the New Covenant Church rests on three pillars. They are Discipleship, Cell Group, and Celebration.
Discipleship
One to one follow-up of new converts. In the Great Commission our Lord commands us to “make disciples of all nations”. To realistically evangelize the world every believer must be equipped and empowered to win souls and bring them to maturity. In other words, it is the duty of each Christian to duplicate himself/herself in a new convert to Christ. With the training and material provided the converts can soon become disciples able to win others to Christ.
Cell Group
Members meet from house to house, just like in the Early Church, through the week for fellowship, prayers, evangelism and mutual support. Opportunities are given to develop leadership skills, and receive spiritual and material support through self-help.
Celebration
These groups come together on Sunday to celebrate Jesus, be edified by the Word, and meet other groups
